We'll See Them Again!
As Easter Sunday approaches Judy and I are reminded of God's promise to us that we will see our daughter Mickey again some day.
Many people will "celebrate" Easter as simply a day to hunt for chocolate eggs and baskets filled with sweets and toys. But for those of us who are believers in Jesus the Christ it is a day that reminds us of God's ultimate gift to the world - his son's death on the cross (remembered on Good Friday). While that death seemed like a tragedy, it was in fact God's triumphant plan to save you and me.
Easter Sunday is a reminder each year of the hope believers have that one day we too will be raised from the dead, just as Jesus was. We too will be reunited with our Christian loved ones that have gone on before us.This isn't just a "hope" we have by the way. God promises us that this is true in the Bible. Listen to these words of Jesus himself in the Gospel of John 5:24, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." NIV
So if you're in the midst of deep grief because of the death of a loved one we hope you will find comfort in knowing that a resurrection awaits those who are believers in Jesus the Christ.
We are praying that you will find hope and peace in the true meaning of Easter. God bless, Pat & Judy
