Celebration of Life begins Thursday!
In August of 2011, Jane was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of seven. What appeared to be an ear infection or maybe Lyme Disease was instead confirmed to be the dreaded “C” word, CANCER. Jane fought hard, but sadly the bully won and Jane went to paint and dance with the angels in heaven on Sept. 6, 2012 - less than a month from her ninth birthday. Jane had a dream to find a cure for cancer so others didn’t have to be in pain. Before she died, she shared a wish that her legacy would continue in many ways, one being a 5K event. Out of her desires The Princess Warrior Run, Walk, Roll, Stroll or Crawl began. Money raised from this event is used to raise awareness of cancer through the CureSearch and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Each year a $500 scholarship is given to a graduating senior in her honor.” (Story used by permission.)
Once again, Smile Again Ministries is holding our Celebration of Life campaign. When you give it enables us to reach out to parents like these with hope, encouragement, and tools they can use to deal with their grief and loss. This year’s goal is $65,000.00. The GREAT news is that once again we have donors who have committed to match your donation, dollar for dollar up to $15,000! That’s right. For every dollar you give, they will match it with one of their own. So your gift is doubled up to $15,000. The Celebration of Life campaign runs from Nov. 16 until Dec. 31 of this year.
Did you know that your giving allows families to stay at Whitetail Lodge for just $50 a night. That’s for the entire family that comes. Obviously, we can’t offer this low price without the faithful support of you, our donors. Please consider how much you can give this year. Please share our campaign with all your email friends.
