Volunteers Made Spring Workday A Success!

SAM had 42 people show up for our Spring Workday last Saturday, and boy did they ever get a LOT done!

We were concerned by the weather reports that said there was a 100% chance of rain. Judy and I had sent out a prayer request earlier in the week asking members of our Prayer Team to pray that it would not rain from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Even though we woke up to cloudy skies that looked like they would pour down rain at any moment, there was no rain until 2:30pm.

What did we get done? As you can see by the picture above, we almost got the new playground completely erected. We also got both our garden areas mulched; a new basketball hoop set up; an electrician changed our electric panel so that we can now hook up our generator in the event of a power outage (last year we had two extended outages); lots of housekeeping and clean-up in Whitetail Lodge; and several trees cut up and the wood stacked near the lodge.

There were volunteers from five different church groups that came to help, along with other individuals. All our volunteers were treated to a lunch of homemade spaghetti and meatballs cooked by George and Phyllis Colaizi. Volunteers had also brought along cookies, bars and other goodies for everyone to enjoy.

Judy and I can't thank those of you who took time out of your busy schedules to help us get our grounds ready for the many families coming to Whitetail Lodge in the weeks and months ahead. We simply couldn't have gotten everything done on our own. So THANK YOU SO MUCH! And thank you to God for answering our prayers to hold off the rain (we got 1 & 1/4 inches of rain from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning). We love you guys. Pat & Judy

I lead a team that develops marketing communications strategies. We produce videos, design websites, and create digital media for forward-oriented nonprofit organizations and businesses.

Because video storytelling plays such a significant part of online marketing, I am heavily involved in video production, every day. Our prolific little agency is constantly involved in helping businesses, and especially nonprofits, tell their unique stories. In social media. On websites. With video. If you aren't using video to tell your organization's story and to grow your business, why not?
