When death came calling

30 years ago today.

It’s impossible to believe that 30 years ago today Judy and I said goodbye to Mickey. A lifetime ago it seems. Since her death God has brought Judy and me through some incredibly deep waters. And at the same time, He has given us His gift of joy and peace within our pain. I think everyone who has lost a child knows the ups and downs of this journey we call grief. But God has been faithful. We have seen countless people helped because of Smile Again Ministries.

We have seen God fulfill the following verses in our lives many times over: “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NLT

For all of you who are early on your grief journey know that God is faithful. His promises ARE true. We want to thank those of you who have reached out to us today and earlier this week. Your words of comfort mean so much to us.  We love you, Pat & Judy
